Section 2: [Repealed.]
1 [“Chief Controlling Revenue-authority” defined.] Rep. by the A. O. 1937. STATE AMENDMENT Orissa Amendment of section 2 of Act (7 of 1870).–For section 2 of the Court Fees Act, 1870, hereinafter called the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted:– “2. Definition.–In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,–
- (1) ‘appeal’ includes a cross objection;
- (2) ‘suit’ includes an appeal from a decree except in section 8-A.” [Vide Orissa Act 5 of 1939, s. 3]
