Section 86: Former settlements deemed to have been made under this Act

Settlements made before this Act comes into force shall be deemed, so far as may be, to have been made hereunder; and the provisions of this Act in regard to proceedings taken and records prepared by Settlement-officers in the making of settlements hereunder shall apply in like manner to proceedings taken and records prepared before this Act comes into force.
